Get Garo's Mask
Go to the Gorman Track, and speak to the elder Gorman (in the blue overalls) while mounted on Epona. You'll get an opportunity to race the Gorman Brothers, and you'll receive Garo's Mask if you win. Get in front of the Gormans before the first turn and block them until the road straightens out again. If they try to pass on the inside, make them run into the fence to slow down. Don't let your carrots get below two until the final stretch, stay to the inside and jump the fences to stay ahead.
Get the Captain's Hat
Enter Termina Field through the East Clock Town gate, then call Epona. Ride Epona straight between the stone columns and into the canyon. Follow the path and jump over two fences with Epona, then dismount and go left to the short wall. Climb up and follow the path into Ikana Graveyard.
Follow the winding path between the two wooden fences, then continue to a stone arch with a large skeleton (Skull Keeta) sleeping underneath. Play the Sonata of Awakening to wake him. Defeat the Skull Keeta to remove the wall of fire around the chest at the end of the path. Hookshot to the chest and open it to get the Captain's Hat.
Learn Song of Storms
After getting the Captain's Hat, enter the Ikana Graveyard after 6:00 p.m. on the First Day (use the Song of Double Time to advance quickly) and go to the gravestone around which the Stalchildren are marching in a circle. Equip the Captain's Hat and speak to one of the Stalchildren guarding the gravestone, then direct that the grave be opened. When the Stalchildren jump into the hole, follow them down to go Under the Graveyard.
Go forward across the pillars into a dark opening, then enter the next room and light the three torches with Fire Arrows to open the door. Equip the Stone Mask to ward off the swarm of Keese in the room. Enter the next room and defeat the Iron Knuckle to open the curtain against the far wall. Speak with Flat, then Z-Target the stone slab where he was floating to learn the Song of Storms.
Reactivate the Music Box House
After learning the Song of Storms, exit Ikana Graveyard and return to the entrance area of Ikana Canyon. Equip the Garo's Mask, then follow the left wall until an old man speaks to you. Use the Hookshot on the trunk that appeared (when the old man is finished speaking) to scale the high wall, then go forward through the Canyon into an open area. Go forward to the dock and shoot Ice Arrows at the two Octoroks to create ice blocks, then cross the blocks to a wooden platform on the other side of the river. Turn left and Hookshot up to the tree trunk on the ledge.
Turn left and Hookshot again to the next ledge, then turn around and Hookshot a final time to the tree trunk on the top of the cliff to enter a village. Turn right to find the empty spring bed and follow it up the ramps into a cave. Inside the cave, speak with Sharp and play the Song of Storms when he starts shooting at you, making the water flow from the cave, reactivating the Music Box House.
Get the Gibdo Mask
After reactivating the Music Box House, exit the Springwater Cave and follow the stream to the house, then either wait for Pamela to walk outside or create an explosion to make her come out. Without being seen, enter the door to the Music Box House, then go down the stairs on the left wall. Walk toward the wardrobe against the back wall to meet Pamela's Father (half Gibdo). Play the Song of Healing to return him to normal to receive the Gibdo Mask.
Get the Mirror Shield
After getting the Gibdo Mask, enter Beneath the Well and follow the passage into the entrance room. Equip the Gibdo Mask, then speak with the Gibdo on the right to present him with five Magic Beans. Enter the door, then follow the left wall past the first opening and around the corner to the next Gibdo. Speak with him to present a Fish, then enter the door.
Continue forward to the next Gibdo and speak with him to present a Big Poe, then enter the door and continue to the last Gibdo. Speak to the Gibdo to present a Bottle of Milk, then enter the door and light the four torches using Fire Arrows to make a Chest appear. Open the Chest to get the Mirror Shield.
Complete Ikana Castle Left Passage
Upon entering Ikana Castle, enter the large, arched opening on the front of the center building to appear in a room with four ReDeads. Melt the frozen eye switch on the left post with a Fire Arrow, then enter the circular opening on the left wall. Go forward and hit the crystal switch in the corner to raise the floor, then quickly run to the crystal switch on the far end. Equip the Deku Mask, then hit the crystal switch and quickly dive into one of the Deku Flowers.
When the floor drops, Hover, then quickly drop and Hover again up to the pillar with a gold switch. Remove the Deku Mask to activate the switch, then enter the door that unlocked. Jump left to an invisible block (use the Lens of Truth), then jump to the gold switch in the corner. Cross the invisible block again, then jump from ledge to ledge to reach the far side of the room and enter the door that unlocked. Go forward up the stairs and through the door to reach the roof, then climb up onto the outer wall.
Go left and follow the top of the wall until you can drop down to the right to find a Deku Flower. Equip the Deku Mask and use the Deku Flower to Hover out to the left pillar, then remove the Deku Mask to activate the gold switch, unlocking the right passage.
Complete Ikana Castle Right Passage
After completing the Left Passage, reenter the arched entrance, then melt the frozen eye switch on the right post with a Fire Arrow and enter the circular opening on the right wall. Defeat the Floormaster, then use the Mirror Shield to shine light on the blue block, making it disappear. Continue forward through the next door and defeat the Wizrobe.
When the Wizrobe is defeated, enter the door that opened, then go forward up the stairs and through the door to reach the roof. Equip the Goron Mask and the Powder Keg, then follow the right wall around to a large cracked section of the floor. Place the Powder Keg on the cracked area and wait for it to explode. Re-equip the Gibdo Mask before dropping down into the hole, then use the Mirror Shield to evaporate the blue block in front of you, opening the center section.
Learn the Elegy of Emptiness
After opening the center section of Ikana Castle, enter and go through the door to appear in a large room. Walk to the center to face the Ikana King (Igos du Ikana) and his two Skeleton Guards. Defeat the two Skeleton Guards first, then take on the King. When he is defeated, the heads of all three enemies will reappear and teach Link the Elegy of Emptiness.
